Ninfield C of E Primary School Extension
Ninfield East SussexMackellar Schwerdt were initially commissioned by East Sussex County Council to consider how long-term mobile accommodation could best be brought into the permanent construction. The conclusion of the feasibility exercise led to a larger project which not only created a new 2 Classroom extension, but expanded the School’s overall site area, through negotiation with the adjoining Parish Council land owner.
The eventual scope of works, saw a rationalisation of the external works layout, an increase in the games space in the form of a new muga, the creation a new 2-classroom extension, and internal works altertaions to increase the size of the School Hall, the size of the Year 2 Class and the provision of learning resource spaces.
